A Stone Age Boy themed sentence builder linked to Colourful Semantics. It includes 4 frames that allow children to independently build and improve sentences based on images. This could be used alongside the topic of the Stone Age to help support lower attaining/SEN children.
There are a variety of different sentence structures to help develop children’s writing. It starts with building a sentence using the colour and then going on to writing the sentence with the ‘little words’ added in. These can be used to help Key Stage 2 use colourful semantics in a way that will help develop their writing and create more detailed sentences independently. They could be used with a picture stimulus or the child’s own ideas.
